Tools
These are tiny, purpose-built endpoints for publishing workflows: generate QR codes and retail barcodes that are deterministic (same input → same output), cacheable, and easy to embed in print or PDFs. No trackers. No redirect links. No “branding”. Just clean symbols.
QR code generator
A minimal QR endpoint for URLs or text. Outputs crisp SVG by default (and PNG where available), designed for certificates, classroom materials, book interiors, and any place you want the code to still scan years from now.
qr.wrid.org — encode text with
?encode=.
EAN-13 barcode generator
Generates EAN-13 symbols suitable for retail labels and catalogs. Provide 12 digits to auto-compute the check digit, or 13 digits to validate what you already have. Output is deterministic and print-friendly.
ean13.wrid.org — encode digits
with ?encode=.
ISBN (Bookland EAN-13) barcode generator
Turns ISBN-10/ISBN-13 into a Bookland EAN-13 symbol for book covers and metadata sheets.
Hyphens and an X check digit are fine. Optionally add a 5-digit price add-on (EAN-5) for markets that expect it.
isbn.wrid.org — encode with
?isbn=, optionally price and cur.
Usage notes
- Deterministic output: the same input always yields the same symbol (great for caching and reproducible builds).
-
Content negotiation: request
image/svg+xmlfor vector output (default), orimage/pngwhere offered. - Embed anywhere: covers, interiors, certificates, catalogs, PDFs, and HTML.
